Pamabrom is used for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms which include water weight gain, bloating, swelling, muscle cramps/pain, tension, fullness feeling.

Mechanism of action

It works by increasing the production of urine which eliminates unwanted water retention from the body and helps in reducing the symptoms of PMS.

Side effects

Common side effects may include allergic reactions (including trouble breathing, hives, swelling of lips/face/throat or tongue) and change in color of urine (gold colored urine).


Following precautions should be taken before taking pamabrom:

If you are allergic to it or if you have a medical condition of hypersensitivity.

If you have a medical history of hypertension (high blood pressure), heart disease or kidney disease.

Use of this drug is not recommended during pregnancy.
