Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Care in Children

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a branch of Dentistry and Medicine that encompasses managing oral cancer, fixing facial fractures and the temporomandibular joint, treating painful ulcers and performing aesthetic corrections.

Paediatric Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is an evolved subspecialty that deals with managing the specific dental needs of neonates, infants and the growing child. It involves the care of patients with congenital craniofacial and developmental facial anomalies, cleft lip and palate, trauma, abnormal jaw growth, temporomandibular joint disorders in children, dentoalveolar conditions/anomalies, and paediatric pathology. 

MedPiper Technologies and JournoMed in association with the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI), Tamilnadu & Puducherry Branch are conducting a webinar that aims to help understand how the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Care for Children is different to that of Adults.

The webinar will also include discussions on how children with congenital anomalies and syndromes have a special range of needs that require multidisciplinary expertise in their treatment strategies.
