Importance of Quality Management in Hospitals and Accreditation

The ever-increasing demand of healthcare consumers is a great concern in the global healthcare sector, and by providing high-quality, advanced treatment options at affordable rates, hospitals or other healthcare providers can establish a sustainable business. To pursue this, standards should be set for better ‘Quality Management in Hospitals’.
Hospital quality management means the process of efficiently managing all the operations in a hospital by applying the various hospital quality measures and standards. The hospital management has to control the related activities diligently by applying the appropriate hospital quality measures of process improvement, cost reduction, productivity & performance improvement, and throughput time.

Distinguished expert Mr. Fareed Uddin Syed will be the speaker at the event. Mr. Fareed Uddin is a Certified External Assessor for National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) in Public Hospitals and National Trainer on Biomedical Waste Management with Bureau of Indian Standards.

The discussion will include standard setting, analytical, and self-improvement aspects of the process of Accreditation and is, therefore, an important component in the maintenance of patient safety.
