Hall-wise updates for ISA Thrissur City Branch virtual event

In the setting of COVID-19, the medical fraternity has been so engrossed in saving lives that education and updation have taken a back seat.

Although the medical professionals remained in the spotlight, it was also the time when they were not much aware of the developing aspects of science and technology in the healthcare sector.

Indian society for Anaesthesiologists, Thrissur city branch, in association with MedPiper Technologies and digital healthcare partner JournoMed is organising ACT 2021 to carry on the academic work on a virtual platform. ISA Thrissur City Branch’s prestigious annual academic programme is being conducted on a virtual platform on the 10th of October 2021.

ACT 2021 aims to cover as much ground on the novel and the conventional as well as provide streamlining for a seamless workflow. 

Candidates will put forward their research, innovations, and unique manifestations. ISA Thrissur City Branch is inviting abstracts for the Paper and E-poster competition from Post-Graduates to be submitted via email. ISA has released detailed guidelines and rules for the event.

The virtual event has been segmented into different Halls which will have distinguished national and international speakers focusing on a wide range of topics. ‘Hall A’ includes topics like Controlling pandemic Transmission, Screenless Anaesthesia Monitoring, Pre-anaesthetic evaluation of COVID-19 patients, Oxygen Therapy, Mechanical Ventilation, Covid vaccines, Lung Transplant and Mental Health among others.

The topics that will be discussed in ‘Hall B’ include the evolution of anaesthesiology as a speciality, controversies in paediatric anaesthesia, chronic pain management, central neuraxial anaesthesia and Thoracic surgery among others.

‘Hall C’ will have the post-graduate paper and poster presentation.
