Breaking Down Myths and Misconceptions Around Cancer Care

Cancer is no longer a death sentence that it used to be considered thanks to modern medicine and research. Certain popular ideas about how cancer starts and spreads, although scientifically wrong, can seem to make sense, especially when those ideas are rooted in old theories. But wrong ideas about cancer can lead to needless worry and even hinder good prevention and treatment decisions. These myths also spread misinformation and can stop people from getting diagnosed and getting the proper treatment. It can also contribute to feelings of stigma and taboo that surrounds this disease.

MedPiper Technologies and JournoMed in association with MGM Healthcare– Varam and Rotary Club, Trichy, Thamizachi are conducting a webinar titled “Breaking Down Myths and Misconceptions Around Cancer Care” where these myths and misconceptions will be discussed and how patients can avoid entertaining such ideas.
