Cancer is no longer a death sentence that it used to be considered thanks to modern medicine and research. Certain popular ideas about how cancer starts and spreads, although scientifically wrong, can seem to make sense, especially when those ideas are rooted in old theories. MedPiper Technologies and JournoMed in association with MGM Healthcare– Varam and Rotary Club, Trichy, Thamizachi are conducting a webinar titled “Breaking Down Myths and Misconceptions Around Cancer Care” where these myths and misconceptions will be discussed and how patients can avoid entertaining such ideas.

Many patients and people consider cancer a death sentence which prevents them from going to the doctors and specialists due to fear. In some cases, relapse is also considered as a death sentence. Some people believe that sugar and artificial sweeteners make cancer worse. In many situations, people still consider cancer a contagious disease. Some people even seek out unwarranted herbal therapies to cure cancer.
